I made up in my mind that I’d enter at least one writing competition this year. I’m not delusional – the probability I’ll win is low, but the rewards are there anyway.

• I’ll finish something.
• I’ll learn to edit.
• I’ll write almost every day (I’ll have to go get to the 50k word count for the competition I want to enter).

It’s a challenge rather than a competition I guess and I’m looking forward to writing something slightly different. I tend towards fantasy and sci-fi, as apparently many writers say they do, but this is all about about adventure – one for me too.
